Progress at Vue 32

The steel frame is up to the 8th floor at Vue 32, the mixed use development by the Radnor Property Group on the Drexel campus at 3201 Race Street.  The exterior panels are being mounted on the lower floors:

The Centennial National Bank on Drexel’s campus, designed by Frank Furness, operated as a bank until c. 1971.  This photograph was taken in 1963, when 32nd Street still went through to Chestnut:


Remnant No More

A few weeks ago I pointed out that very small investments can turn a forgotten space into a lovely, highly desirable destination.  Here are the after and before pictures for a small park at 32nd & Cherry.  A row of shrubs disguises the parking lot and mechanical equipment, while a couple make good use of the Adirondack chairs put out just today:
